I've sold that rifle few years ago and the crack never reappeared, even thought that rifle had more than 3500 full loads 500gr/2680-2720fps. through it. Stretch it, wrap it tightly around the broken stock, allow to dry and shrink and it binds the stock together. You can use lacing, brass tacks or just about anything else that might keep the rawhide from moving till it sets. Web3 jul. 2024 · I am currently working on my CVA top break .35 Rem. I am using modeling clay to add wt to the rifle, for passive recoil reduction. My CVA Hunter has a hollow black plastic butt stock, and the clay I added inside it increased scoped rifle wt to 10+ lb, including bi-pod. The clay is cheaper, doesn’t smell, and is not nearly as messy as resin.
