A diamond goby is looking for small crustaceans in the sand while the conch is looking for algae so they won't really compete with each other. Now it disappeared again. I also have a diamond goby. Every day at dawn, it wakes up and cleans out its cave and around 11pm, it buries itself in the cave. For two days he didnt come out. His cave was still covered in sand. I thought the lobster might gotten to him or got crushed by rocks. 3 days later, he shows up no problems. WebDec 9, 2014 · Goby came first and super shy. Added shrimp a few weeks later. Assumed he was going to die since he was so small and just floated around the tank for a day. He disappeared, then the goby disappeared. 3 days later they emerged from the same place as buddies. Doing great the past couple months.
